Christmasy time

December 16, 2008

I made this as a Christmas card for my friend.  I may also use it for my next drawer geeks jr. illustration.  Enjoy.  Look Bryan!  Orange for incandescence, and blue for night time!!  see how much I learned in your class??

long time no post

December 12, 2008

So I found out that I can’t log in to wordpress on campus.  Which is stupid.  Fortunately, I’m home now for Christmas break and have access to this silly blog once more.  I’m working on some stuff that’ll be up soon, but for now here’s a few quick sketchy things I did.  You’ll notice the letters “J. Kesler” on one of them.  That is not the name of the artist, but rather the pastor who was talking while I sketched on my sermon notes.  That being said, enjoy.

3D Environments Final Piece

December 9, 2008

So here it is.  What you’ve all been waiting for.  All five of you that look at this blog.  Ha.  I made a funny………anyway, this turned out really well, I think.  The scene itself kicks some hard core A.  I had some help from the Barg with the fire, cause he the particle effects master.  The animation itself leaves a bit to be desired, but I hope to go back in and fix some of that up later on.  Anyway, without further ado, I give you Willy:

Proverbs 7:7

I got this idea from Bryan Ballinger.  Illustrated Bible Verses.  This is my first, and it’s a really quick sketch.  I think I’m gonna keep up this idea, though.

3D Environments stills

December 4, 2008

These are some still renders of my nearly 3D Environments scene.  These aren’t quite complete–such as there will ultimately be a glow on the moon, and these don’t have the occlusion pass or the depth pass; but, in general, these give a pretty good idea of what the final doohicky is gonna look like.  And they’re in sequencial order, so you can even follow the story!!  (disclaimer:  there really is nothing much of a story.  Just a quick animated scence…)

clicky to keep looking!!

This is the cover I designed for the Treblemakers’ debut album, One Child Left Behind, which I believe is to be released at their Christmas concert tomorrow night (I could be wrong).  Anyway, ’twas my first real commission.  YAY!!!
