3D Environments Final Piece
December 9, 2008
So here it is. What you’ve all been waiting for. All five of you that look at this blog. Ha. I made a funny………anyway, this turned out really well, I think. The scene itself kicks some hard core A. I had some help from the Barg with the fire, cause he the particle effects master. The animation itself leaves a bit to be desired, but I hope to go back in and fix some of that up later on. Anyway, without further ado, I give you Willy:
3D Environments stills
December 4, 2008
These are some still renders of my nearly 3D Environments scene. These aren’t quite complete–such as there will ultimately be a glow on the moon, and these don’t have the occlusion pass or the depth pass; but, in general, these give a pretty good idea of what the final doohicky is gonna look like. And they’re in sequencial order, so you can even follow the story!! (disclaimer: there really is nothing much of a story. Just a quick animated scence…)
clicky to keep looking!!
Sunday afternoons of 1st Pass Lighting
October 12, 2008
This is the 1st Pass lighting of my Willy’s Castle scene. There’s still quite a bit that’s not finalized, like the matte painting in the background, and some of the textures, and the lighting itself. But for now, this provides a pretty good idea of how things are working out, how textures are reading with lights, etc. To see exactly what I did for the lighting step by step, just keep on reading (and click the link below)!
Willy’s Castle
October 9, 2008
This is an early render of a set I am making in my 3D Environments class. The castle itself is a puppet theatre set, and the home of Willy, the most fearsome villain of all puppets. This particular render has some very early texturing, and no custom lighting at all. So it looks pretty crappy. Much work is still needed before this is ready for production.
